Interpretations

I've been experimenting each evening with a little more "crafty" ideas for my tiny 5" x 3" note cards. Playing around with glitter glue, dainty ribbons and gem stones. The key, I think, is to carefully select these accents to give the right amount of uniqueness and interest.

My short attention span and difficulty multi-tasking usually allows me only to make one card at a time. Not very efficient I know, but I never claimed that was a skill of mine. I've tried the "assembly line" approach but did not care for the results. I think these ones turned out well and I hope you like them. However, what has really captured my fascination is the personality of each card that emerged. They seemed to have caught the mood from each night. I would still like to pursue some type of art therapy credentialing but can not seem to locate anything locally. In the meantime, I think I am getting head start. Can you match the mood with the card? BOLD. BLUE BUT WITH HOPE (hint for this one: hope is symbolized by the gem stone). FRAZZLED. BALANCED.

Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind." - Theodor Seuss Geisel

Over time I've learned not to fight a lot of things, including what my art looks like. Today, it comes from my soul and I allow it only to be source of joy. It has become one of my essential ingredients for happiness.

While my paintings are escapism, the real world reminds me daily of the work we have yet to do and the purpose that we serve. “To whom much is given, much is expected.” - Luke 12: 48

"Had lots of fun being a quirky artiste for a day! There was a cool band that played some great classic rock tunes. The temperature was well into the nineties. I loved basking in the sunshine. If you enjoy talking about art, this is a really easy way of meeting interesting people."
