My Quest for the Holy Grail

Everything I own (well OK, not quite everything-yet) is splattered with paint. Thus, I think my next project shall be a quest to find the perfect Art Shirt. There are some lovely legends about them being passed down through the ages and possessing magical powers.

This search is not as easy as it sounds. The shirt must be one that is large enough to slip over and cover whatever I may be wearing. But not so big and floppy that it may interfere with the quirky artiste at work! And it still has to be cute with a fashion flair. The shirt should also preferably be one that is a "button down" so as to not mess up my otherwise elegant coiffure (ha!). My hair is incorrigible enough already and paint does not come out of it that easily either.

I am somewhat anxious though, that I may become a little too focused on what is unravelling on the Art Shirt and forget that I am to paint on "the canvas" which will be patiently waiting on the easel. Things really do start to come alive for the artist in the throes of their work.

Here is step 2 of side 1 of the canvas bag. I think it is done, although I have not signed it yet. Photography is not one of skills. Clearly, my pics are still turning out so blurry.

Over time I've learned not to fight a lot of things, including what my art looks like. Today, it comes from my soul and I allow it only to be source of joy. It has become one of my essential ingredients for happiness.

While my paintings are escapism, the real world reminds me daily of the work we have yet to do and the purpose that we serve. “To whom much is given, much is expected.” - Luke 12: 48

"Had lots of fun being a quirky artiste for a day! There was a cool band that played some great classic rock tunes. The temperature was well into the nineties. I loved basking in the sunshine. If you enjoy talking about art, this is a really easy way of meeting interesting people."
